Deliver reactive and preventative maintenance support to ensure the plant has minimal lost time due to mechanical fault/failure and achieve optimal use of current and future mechanical assets. About the role Location: Lance Creek Supervising and leading the Maintenance team activities Delivering preventative and reactive maintenance support Ensuring the plant has minimal lost time due to mechanical fault/failure Achieve optimal use of current and future mechanical assets Administering shift resources appropriately Working closely with all production managers, other supervisors to deliver quality outcomes Commitment to the business and the ability to positively react to situations as they may arise, whilst finding the best solution Maximising employee health and safety ABOUT YOU Direct experience in a manufacturing operation, especially meat processing A proven successful management record in leading a repair and preventative maintenance team. Computer literacy skills, including Word, Citec. Experience in MEX or a similar CMMS Demonstrated capability in effective Contractor management and coordination. Ability to work through change, drive continuous improvement initiatives and have exceptional communication, negotiation, technical and leadership skills. Knowledge of and experience in management of refrigeration, waste water, steam generation and environmental technology. A proven record of driving safety compliance and culture, including but not limited to, Forklift operations, EWP, working at heights and Confined space training. Preventative maintenance system experience. QUALIFICATIONS Trade Qualifications with at least five (5) years relevant experience Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and technical skills. Experience at a supervisory level, with at least 3 years’ experience managing a team of tradespersons. Ability to react and prioritize breakdown situations in a production environment which requires downtime to be minimised.
